Day-by-Day Itinerary

Your driver and guide arrive at your Agra hotel around 30 minutes before sunrise (timing shared the evening before, since sunrise shifts with the season). A short, quiet drive brings you to the East or West Gate as the sky just begins to lighten.

Sunrise at the Taj Mahal (approx. 2.5 hours): Enter as the gates open- this is the quietest the Taj ever gets, before the tour buses arrive. Watch the marble shift from soft pink to blinding white as the sun clears the horizon. Your guide walks you through the history, architecture, and legends of the monument, and helps you find the best angles for photos, including the classic "Diana bench" spot and the reflecting pools.

Free Time: Time built in to wander at your own pace, sit by the fountains, or simply take it in before the heat and crowds build.

You can cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours before your tour start time for a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours are non-refundable, since guide and transport are already arranged for you. If the Taj Mahal is unexpectedly closed on your travel date (e.g. for security or maintenance reasons), we'll help you reschedule or provide a full refund. For weather-related sunrise visibility (fog is common in winter), the monument itself still opens on schedule, so the tour proceeds as planned.
